We, Nadja and Harry, both in our early 50s, are traveling around the world on our beloved sailing catamaran Adel. We started in the Mediterranean in the middle of the Corona period and have crossed the entire Mediterranean from the Adriatic, sailed across the Atlantic and are now in the south of the Caribbean. We have now sailed a total of almost 20,000 nautical miles.

We are offering our ship for the first time for guests to sail on and enjoy.

In Heimarbeit gefertigt werden die Molas, Erzeugnisse eines einzigartigen Kunsthandwerks Mesoamerikas. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Applikations-Stickerei, die ursprünglich und auch heute noch die Blusen der Frauen ziert. Diese Tracht ist in ihrer heutigen bunten Form erst ab 1950 entstanden. Die Vorläufer zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts haben sich vermutlich aus der bis dahin üblichen Körperbemalung statt -bekleidung, die die ersten Missionare förderten, entwickelt. Es gibt nicht nur traditionelle Motive, sondern auch umgestaltete Industrielabels, Kommentare zu politischen Ereignissen, sogar als Informations- und Lehrmedium werden sie verwendet (z. B. Motiv eines Kaimans, der ein Kind attackiert). In der Auseinandersetzung mit den USA in den 1990er Jahren erhielten die Molas einen Status als panamaisches Identitätssymbol und haben sich spätestens seitdem auch in der westlich orientierten Oberschicht Panamas etabliert. Viele Molas werden in Museen auf der ganzen Welt ausgestellt. Im Alltagsleben gehören sie, neben den ebenso bunten unterschenkel- und unterarmbedeckenden Bändern, zum normalen Schmuck der Kuna-Frauen. Sie trifft man tagsüber in der Fußgängerzone von Panama-Stadt beim Verkauf, zwei Tage später in ihren Hütten im Archipel. Sie nutzen für die Reise das Flugzeug. Am bekanntesten ist die Isla El Porvenir, auf der sich der Gruppentourismus bereits häuft. Auch auf den Inseln Isla Sapibenega, Isla Wichubualá (alias Wichub Wala oder Huala) und Isla Okuptupu gibt es erste touristische Strukturen. Weiter südlich liegende Inseln der Kunas, wie z. B. Playón Chico (Ukupseni), sind nur sehr schwer und nur mit einfachen Propellermaschinen zu erreichen. Die Einladung eines Einheimischen einschließlich Zustimmung der Stammesvorsteher (Kaziken) ist erforderlich. Es herrscht die Kuna-Sprache vor, Englisch wird dort fast gar nicht, Spanisch nur von einigen gesprochen. Flagge von Guna Yala Flagge der Dule-Revolution von 1925 Die Comarca liegt zwischen 8°25’ und 9°32’ nördlicher Breite bzw. 79°20’ und 77°8’ westlicher Länge und hat eine Länge von 181 Kilometern. Die Flagge, die San Blas bzw. Kuna Yala von 1925 bis 2010 führte, bildet ein Swastika (Hakenkreuz) mit nach links zeigenden Haken ab. Diese stellt einen symbolisierten Oktopus dar, der nach der lokalen Überlieferung die Welt erschaffen hat. Seit 2010 führt das nunmehr in Guna Yala umbenannte Gebiet eine neue Flagge, auf der zwei gekreuzte Arme mit Pfeil und Bogen dargestellt sind. Die bisherige Flagge wird für Zwecke beibehalten, die den Widerstand und die Dule-Revolution von 1925 darstellen. Molas, products of a unique Mesoamerican craft, are made at home. Many molas are exhibited in museums all over the world. In everyday life, they are part of the normal jewelry of Kuna women, alongside the equally colorful bracelets that cover the lower legs and arms. They sell them during the day in the pedestrian zone of Panama City and two days later in their huts on the archipelago. They travel by plane. The best-known island is Isla El Porvenir, where group tourism is already on the rise. The islands of Isla Sapibenega, Isla Wichubualá (also known as Wichub Wala or Huala) and Isla Okuptupu are also beginning to develop tourist structures. Kuna islands further south, such as Playón Chico (Ukupseni), are very difficult to reach and can only be approached by simple propeller planes. An invitation from a local with the consent of the tribal chiefs (caciques) is required. The Kuna language is predominant, English is hardly spoken, Spanish only by some. Ibin spricht gut Englisch, war Küchenchef und hat auf Superyachten im Pazifik gearbeitet. Auf der Speisekarte steht, was vor Ort gefangen wird, also Fisch und Hummer, aber er macht auch Pizza. Our ship is a very clean and well-maintained Lagoon 400 S2, built in 2014, equipped with all the essentials such as watermaker, about 2000 watts solar, lithium batteries and separate drinking water filter. The complete safety equipment such as radio, life raft, life jackets, AIS and satellite emergency call are provided.

We will offer you an unforgettable experience every day. This starts with the meals, with freshly baked bread for breakfast and cakes in the afternoon. At least 3-4 meals also with different fish variations when available. Drinks include water, soft drinks, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine, rum, vodka and whisky in sufficient quantities. Everything is included and we do not count what you consume.

For leisure activities we have snorkeling and fishing equipment including a harpoon. With the SUP board or a double kayak you can travel between the islands and the reefs. For more distant destinations, we have a powerful motorized dinghy. Of course you can use our satellite internet without restrictions.

We are only satisfied when you are thrilled.

You will travel to us by plane to Panama City. We recommend that you plan at least two days to explore the city. There is a beautiful old town and a visit to the Panama Canal Museum as well as an evening in the city skyline are an absolute must when you are there. If you wish, we can help you with your choice of hotel. The subsequent transportation to the San Blas Islands can be done either by private plane or by land vehicles. In both cases we have good contacts and can organize this for you.

Captain Harry was eager and excited to show us the local spots and the best snorkeling around the reefs. He even booked us a dinner at a place for Christmas dinner that we will never forget!
